One app, two ways to work
The same MacToolSuite for the professional who looks after their own Mac and for whoever runs the studio's computers. Workflow and the Agent serve both.
Basic · Pro
For your own work
32 tools, Workflow and the Agent on your Mac: verified copies, disks, network, remote machines, system and recovery.
Team · Enterprise
For whoever runs the studio
All of that on every Mac, plus a console to monitor, install, configure and automate the company's Macs, Windows PCs and Linux servers.
Workflow
Chain tasks on a node board and let them run
Workflow is the first item under Tools. A flow connects computers, tools, scripts and the Agent with arrows; you save it under a name and run it manually or on a schedule, with each node's status shown live.
A node for every step
Computers, the app's tools, scripts, catalogue installs, recipes, syncing and copying between computers, an Agent with its own instructions, waiting and notifying. Each step runs on the computer it hangs from.
Arrows with a condition
Each arrow continues always, only if the previous step succeeds, or only if it fails. A failure can trigger a notification.
By hand or on a schedule
Run a flow manually or on a schedule and watch each node's status live. Every flow keeps its run history, which also appears in Activity.
Board and files
Pan and zoom with the trackpad, collapse the side panels, show every node at once (⌘0) and undo. Flows can be exported and imported as .mtsflow files.
The Agent, inside the flow and out
An Agent node does what its instructions say with its profile's tools, even in a scheduled flow. From the chat, the Agent looks up, runs and creates flows, and asks before running or creating one.
On your Mac
Basic · Pro
Tools, scripts, the Agent, and wait and notify steps, all on this Mac. The free version can chain the free tools.
On the studio's computers
Team · Enterprise
Admins add the computers on the network, install software, run recipes, and sync and copy between them. A flow sent to a Mac runs there on its own schedule, and the Mac's page lists it with its last result.
Your Mac
For your own work, on your Mac
Basic and Pro: the 32 tools, Workflow and the Agent on one or two Macs. Everything in this chapter also comes on every Mac of a Team licence.
Agent
An assistant that knows your Mac's tools
Ask what fills the disk or why the Mac is slow. The Agent uses almost every tool in the app: it checks, cleans, copies, syncs, schedules tasks and creates Workflow flows, always with your permission.
Apple's model, on the Mac
Default
With Apple Intelligence, the Agent answers without the conversation leaving the machine. No account, no key, no extra cost.
Claude, with your plan
Anthropic
Through Claude Code with your Claude plan, or with your API key. Sonnet, Opus or Haiku, chosen in each chat.
ChatGPT, with your plan
OpenAI
Through Codex with your ChatGPT plan. The app runs the official programs unmodified and never touches your account: you sign in to them yourself.
It asks before it acts
Before it mounts a NAS, opens an SSH session, syncs, schedules a task or runs a flow, it waits for your answer in the chat: Allow, Always in this chat or No.
Deleting is always confirmed
Before cleaning caches or moving files, it shows you the list. Items go to the Trash, only from your home folder, and this action can never be approved in advance.
Work profiles
General, Maintenance, Networks and servers, and Files, which you can edit and duplicate. Switch the Agent's focus without leaving the chat.
Saved chats
Chats are kept with their attachments (images, PDFs and text); you can pin, search and export them to Markdown. The Agent also has a panel on Home and in the menu bar.
Transfers
Ingest and backup in a single pass
Copy material reads the source once and writes to every destination in parallel. On the same APFS volume, copies are instant clones that take no extra space.
Copy material and sync folders
Copy to several destinations at once and verify what arrived. Mirror project folders with a preview of every change; anything removed goes to the Trash.
Verification
Verifiable results, destination by destination
Every operation closes with a report: what was written, verified, skipped or failed. A partial result is reported as partial.
SHA-256 verification
The source and every copy are read back and compared by hash. A copy that does not match is flagged as failed and kept for inspection.
Atomic writes
Each file is written under a temporary name and renamed only when complete. A stopped copy leaves no partial files behind.
Explicit conflicts
Existing files are skipped, overwritten or kept alongside, as you decide in the review before copying. Nothing is replaced without you knowing.
Reversible removal
Sync and cleanup list everything they are about to remove and, by default, send it to the Trash.
A brake on automatic syncs
If an automatic sync would remove half of a destination or more, it stops and asks you to review it.
Activity log
Every run, manual or scheduled, is recorded in Activity and can be exported as a plain-text report.
The app
A control panel shaped around each workstation
Thirty-two tools in seven categories. Home, the menu bar and the Agent bring together what each person uses every day.
The Mac's state at a glance
System load, recent work, most used items and shortcuts to your tools, in panels you can move and resize as you like.
A panel in the menu bar
The same grid with its own layout, one click away: open tools, run Optimize, and keep an eye on watched folders and scheduled tasks without opening the window.
Scheduled tasks
Time Machine backups, syncs, cleanups, maintenance and drive checks, daily, weekly or at set intervals, all managed from one place.
Instant search
⌘K opens the tool search from any page; when nothing matches, it offers to ask the Agent.
Transfers
2 tools
Verified multi-destination copy and folder synchronisation.
Files
5 tools
Batch rename, project structures, duplicates, an offline disk catalogue and unlocking files in use.
Disks
7 tools
Space analysis, S.M.A.R.T. health, partitions, RAID, disk images, cache cleanup and NTFS, ext4 and Btrfs volumes.
Network
4 tools
Connection diagnostics, NAS shares mounted in one click, local network scanning and traffic per application.
Remote
2 tools
SSH hosts with a tabbed terminal and scripts on several at once, and other computers' screens inside the app.
System
7 tools
Resource monitor, startup items, app uninstaller, maintenance, permissions, privacy and passwords.
Recovery
5 tools
Time Machine backups, forensic cloning, file recovery, bootable USB drives and secure erase.
Storage under control
What fills each disk, its S.M.A.R.T. health, images, partitions, RAID, cache cleanup and Windows and Linux volumes, from one section.
Other machines, one click away
A tabbed SSH terminal with passwords stored in the keychain, scripts on several machines at once, and other computers' screens inside the app, with Wake-on-LAN.
You decide what leaves the Mac
With Apple's model, nothing leaves the machine. With Claude or ChatGPT, the conversation and what the Agent looks up go to that provider, under your account. No telemetry.
Studio
Every computer in the studio, from one Mac
With a Team or Enterprise licence, admins monitor and manage every Mac, Windows PC and Linux server: status, apps, accounts, security and flows, with no server in between.
The Company computers page
Every computer, live: CPU, memory, disk, battery and how many compliance rules it breaks, with the licence owner marked. Four tabs (computers, apps, updates and syncs), all exportable as CSV.
Tools and scripts
Optimize, cache cleanup, maintenance or a Time Machine backup on the computers you choose, and your scripts on all of them at once, with one result per computer.
Inventory
Which apps and versions each computer has, and how many computers have each one. Select the out-of-date ones in one click to update them.
Compliance
Rules per company: encryption, firewall, SIP, Gatekeeper, updates, Time Machine backup and free space. A warning when a computer starts breaking one.
macOS updates
Each Mac shows which updates it is missing. They are downloaded in advance and the user gets a reminder to install them.
View the screen
Open a Mac's screen from its page, as long as Screen Sharing is turned on for that Mac.
Flows sent to a Mac
A Workflow flow that runs entirely on one Mac is sent to it and runs there on its own schedule. The Mac's page lists it with its last result.
Your own catalogue
Links, .pkg, .dmg and .zip files, apps from the Applications folder and commands, all edited in the app. Install several apps on several Macs at once, and use winget on Windows or Flathub on Linux.
Multi-step recipes
Packages, apps, commands, restarts and waiting for someone to log in, in order. Each Mac follows the recipe on its own, across restarts, and the admin sees which step it is on.
Model computer
Save one Mac's apps and tasks as a template. Every other Mac shows what it is missing compared with it, and applying the model installs and schedules the rest.
Users on every computer
Each Mac's accounts, admins and FileVault: create accounts, reset passwords, make someone an admin, disable and delete. Also on Windows and Linux computers.
The company's admin account
A hidden company account on every Mac, with a password that changes on its own every 7, 30 or 90 days and that only admins can see.
The Agent helps run the studio
It installs from the catalogue, runs recipes, applies the model computer and changes accounts on the company's Macs, always asking first. Creating accounts and setting passwords is only done from the Mac's page.
Owner, admins and users
The Mac that activates the key becomes the owner: always an admin, it decides who is an admin and who is a user. Other Macs join with an invitation valid for 1 to 90 days, or with no expiry, without seeing the key.
Windows and Linux, with nothing to install
Over SSH, next to the Macs and without taking a seat: status, inventory, compliance, users, scripts, copies, and apps with winget on Windows or Flathub on Linux.
Several companies in one console
Whoever runs IT for several companies sees them all from their Mac, each with its own licence. Their Mac takes one seat in each.
Visible on every Mac
Each Mac accepts the permissions once. From then on, the menu bar shows that it is managed and by whom, and Account keeps a log of every order received.
Direct and encrypted
Macs communicate directly over the local network or Tailscale, with keys kept in each Mac's Secure Enclave and every order encrypted and signed.
What it does not do
It is not an MDM: no Apple Business Manager enrolment, no configuration profiles, no volume-purchased App Store apps, no enforced FileVault or password, no remote lock or wipe, no macOS install without the person.
Try it on your own footage
Every tool, Workflow and the Agent, with no restrictions, for 14 days. No card required.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an AI subscription to use the Agent?
No. By default it uses Apple's model on the Mac, which needs Apple Intelligence turned on and nothing else. If you have a Claude or ChatGPT plan, or a Claude API key, you can choose them in each chat. The Agent is included in the trial and in both licences, but not in free mode. MacToolSuite does not resell any AI service.
Can the Agent change anything without asking?
No. On its own it only reads: disk usage, drive health, system load, recent work, schedules and your SSH hosts, screens and NAS. Every action asks in the chat first, and deleting always shows the list, goes to the Trash and stays inside your home folder.
Does a scheduled flow act without asking?
Yes, that is what it is for: when its time comes it does what is on the board, including the Agent node, which follows its instructions without asking. Tools you have turned off for the Agent stay off. The chat is different: before running or creating a flow, the Agent asks.
Does verification read the copy back from the drive?
With SHA-256 verification on, Copy material reads the source again and every copy once all files are written, and compares their hashes. macOS may serve part of that read from memory, so it proves the copy matches the source, not the long-term health of the drive.
What happens if a copy is interrupted?
Each file is written under a temporary name and renamed only when complete. If you stop it, the partial file is deleted and the result says how many files were completed. There is no resume: copy again with Skip and the files already there are left untouched.
What if a file already exists at the destination?
You choose before copying: Skip (the default), Overwrite, which writes the new file beside the old one and swaps it in only when complete, or Keep both, which gives the new copy a numbered name. Skip compares names, not contents.
Can I copy to network drives?
Yes. Any volume mounted in the Finder can be a source or a destination, SMB shares included. If macOS cannot report a share's free space, the review says so instead of guessing.
Is syncing folders a backup?
No. It mirrors one folder onto another, so a change or a deletion in the source reaches the destination on the next run; deletions go to the Trash. It keeps no versions. For history, use Time Machine: the Backups tool helps you set it up and check it.
Does syncing run when the app is closed?
No. Watching and schedules run inside the app, which can stay in the menu bar and open at login. When the Mac wakes up or a drive is mounted, pending syncs catch up.
Which permissions does it need?
It needs no kernel extension. Tasks that need administrator rights go through a small helper you approve once in System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions; it only runs a fixed list of commands. Full Disk Access is needed only by a few tools, such as clearing Safari data.
Which versions of macOS are supported?
macOS 27, on Macs with Apple silicon only. It is notarised and distributed outside the App Store, because most of these tools cannot work inside its sandbox. Apple's model in the Agent also needs Apple Intelligence turned on.
Does it write NTFS or ext4?
macOS itself reads NTFS and reads and writes exFAT and FAT. ext4 needs macFUSE and ext4fuse, third-party open-source drivers that are not bundled: the tool detects whether they are installed, mounts what it can and says what it cannot.
Can it clone my startup disk?
Not on Apple silicon, and no app can: the system volume is sealed. Instead, Backups manages Time Machine and checks everything you need to rebuild the Mac.
Can I move my licence to another Mac?
Yes. Open Account and choose Deactivate this Mac… The seat is released immediately and can be used on another machine.
Does it work without a connection?
Yes. The licence renews itself in the background whenever the Mac is online, and works for up to 30 days offline since the last renewal. Account shows the date under “Works offline until”.
What data leaves my Mac?
When you activate: your licence key, a hash of the machine identifiers and the Mac's name. Then the update check. If you choose Claude or ChatGPT in the Agent, that chat and what the Agent looks up go to that provider under your account; with Apple's model, nothing leaves. No analytics, no crash uploads.
Can a company buy one licence for several Macs?
Yes. Team is a subscription per Mac, monthly or yearly, from 5 Macs, with one key for all of them. For larger teams or special terms, Enterprise is priced on request: ask for a quote on this page.
How do the other Macs join?
The Mac that activates the key becomes the owner, always an admin. From Account, admins create invitations lasting 1 to 90 days or with no expiry, and each Mac joins with one without seeing the key. The owner decides who is admin; admins remove users. The key on another Mac asks before handing it ownership.
What if we need more or fewer seats?
Write to [email protected] and we change it; it applies straight away and the key stays the same. If there are fewer seats than Macs already in, none is removed, but no new Mac can join until a seat frees up.
Where do we manage payment, invoices and cancellation?
In your Link account (app.link.com): payment is processed by Stripe through Link, which issues the invoices with VAT and your tax ID. If you cancel, the licence keeps working until the end of the period already paid; business subscriptions are not refunded.
Is company mode an MDM?
No. It shows and looks after your computers (status, apps, compliance, scripts, installs, updates), but it does not enrol devices with Apple Business Manager, install profiles, lock or wipe remotely, or enforce settings: it asks the person to turn them on.
What do Windows and Linux computers need?
OpenSSH and the admin's key, set up in SSH Hosts; on Windows 10 and 11 it is enough to turn on OpenSSH Server. Nothing else is installed on them and they do not take a seat. On Linux, installing apps and updates needs sudo without a password.
Can a flow run on its own on another company Mac?
Yes, if you are an admin. A flow that runs entirely on one Mac is sent to it with Send to a Mac: that Mac keeps it, runs it on its own schedule and the person can pause or remove it in Settings. Flows with network computers, installs, recipes or copies between computers run from the admin's Mac.
Can we try company mode before buying?
Yes. The Team plan has a 14-day trial with up to 3 Macs. To try it with more Macs or for longer, write to us from the quote form or at [email protected]: we agree a trial of up to a month, so you have time to roll it out.
What happens if a payment fails?
Stripe retries it. Meanwhile the licence keeps working for seven days after the end of the paid period; after that it stops on every Mac until the payment goes through.
Can we pay by bank transfer or direct debit?
Not for now. Subscriptions are paid by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link, and by Bancontact in Belgium.
Lost your key?
Write to [email protected] from the email address you bought with, and we'll reissue it.
Download
macOS 27 on a Mac with Apple silicon. The Agent uses Apple's model (with Apple Intelligence turned on) or your own Claude or ChatGPT account. On its own, the app only connects to activate the licence and to check for updates.
